OPINIÓN PERSONAL

Avery es una chica que vive atormentada por los fantasmas de su pasado, y, tratando de dejarlos atrás y empezar su vida desde cero, se muda a la otra punta del país al entrar a la universidad. Ella solo quiere tener una vida normal, no llamar demasiado la atención y, a ser posible, hacer algún amigo. Lo único que Avery no planeó fue llamar la atención de Cameron Hamilton, metro noventa y dos de pura atracción y encanto. Avery teme que pueda dañar el futuro que se está labrando, pero Cam, esta por todas partes, y despierta en ella una actitud que ni siquiera creyó que existía. Pero cuando los fantasmas de su pasado vuelven a por ella, Avery tendrá que elegir entre hacerles frente o dejar que acaben con su frágil universo.

J.Lynn nos presenta en esta primera entrega a Avery Morgansten, una chica abierta y sociable a la que le encanta bailar y salir de fiesta. pero es era su antigua "yo". A raíz de unos serios problemas años atrás, su vida dio un giro de 360 grados, volviéndola una chica solitaria y atormentada, temerosa del mundo. Y más que nada, Avery teme que su pasado pueda arrebatarle lo que que consiga en el futuro. Así, nos encontramos con una chica marcada por un pasado difícil, y eso puede verse en sus decisiones. Es cierto que hubo varias ocasiones en las que me dieron ganas de sacudir un poco a la chica, porque sus decisiones me frustraban, pero a la vez comprendía por qué lo hacia (por mucho que me siguiera desesperando). 

Y en ese futuro encontramos a Cameron Hamilton - Cam. 

“People got out of the way for Cam. He was like a hot Moses, parting a sea of drunk college students.” 

Que deciros de él. Cam es ingenioso, atento, sexy... Es un ególatra, pero no es el típico imbecil, sino que es encantador y gracioso. Y además hace postres. ¿Quien seresiste a alguien así? Además, su relación con Avery es fresca y maravillosamente asdfghjkl.  

“Warmth slid through my veins as my body tensed in a welcomed, delicious way.

My eyes fluttered shut as his lips brushed mine once and then twice, as if he was getting reacquainted with the feel of them. The slight, barely there touch was nerve racking.

Cam shifted his weight onto his left arm and with his other hand, he spread his fingers along my cheek. He placed a kiss to the corner of my lips and the other side before sliding his hand back around the nape of my neck. His lips moved along my jaw, trailing a fiery path to my ear. A shiver danced along my skin, eliciting a deep, husky chuckle from him. His lips pressed against the sensitive spot under my ear, and a moan crawled up my throat. 

“Goodnight, Avery.”

And then he kissed me—kissed me like he’d had right before he’d left the night of our date. Kissed me like he was a man starving for oxygen and I was the only air he needed to breathe. The hand around my neck held me there, raised up on my elbows as his mouth devoured mine. And that was the only word I could use to accurately explained how he kissed me.

Cam devoured me.”  

Cam es sin duda mi personaje favorito de todo el libro; y aunque los amigos de Avery, Brit y Jason, también me encantaron, me quedé con ganas de saber un poco más de ellos. Pero no se puede tener todo en esta vida. 

“I'm beginning to think cookies is a code word for something else."   

"Maybe it is." He tugged on my bag again as he took a confident step back, forcing me down another step. "And just think about it. If cookie was a code word, whatever it symbolizes, it's been in your mouth, sweetheart.”

En cuanto a la novela, los diálogos y la lectura son rápidos y ligeros, y para cuando quise darme cuenta ya la había acabado. Las interacciones entre Avery y Cam te enganchan y te obsesionan con querer saber que va a pasar entre ellos. además, no es la típica historia de amor en 15 días, sino que es más natural y larga.

Resumiendo, Wait for you es una novela maravillosa, con unos personajes (y sobre todo protagonista masculino) que te llenan y te descubrirán una historia única.
